Our Course

We invite you to join us for an exciting week of classes for cello students (both Suzuki and non-Suzuki) working at book 6-9+ levels. In this situation, we are able to bring the classes to you at home online via Zoom, and we welcome students from all countries around the world.

We invite you to join us for an exciting week of classes for cello students studying with the Suzuki method working at book 7+ levels. In this situation, we are able to bring the classes to you at home online via Zoom, and we welcome students from all countries around the world.

Students will have daily  individual lessons, group classes (maximum 6 students per class) on repertoire from Suzuki books, and complementary activities including improvisation, yoga and mindfulness and baroque workshop sessions. The course will culminate with concerts and group activities on the final day. The daily schedule runs over 4 hours each day from 4pm - 8pm CET (mainland Europe), or 10am - 2pm ET (U.S. East Coast) so will be open to students from a variety of time zones. Students can expect to be online for around 3-4 hours daily, with scheduled breaks.

We have a fantastic international faculty for you to work with, including group lessons with Carey Beth Hockett (LA); Pamela Devenport (NY); Brendan Conroy (NL) and complementary classes including baroque workshops with Roel Dieltens (Belgium); Improvisation with Marta Roma (Spain) and yoga and mindfulness with Laurent Roure (UK). Students will receive individual lessons from teachers including Jon Cottle (Spain); Helen Neilson (UK); Alba Page (Spain) and Lucía Díez (Spain).

Places are limited to 16 students in total, maximum 6 students per group class. Course fees are 285 Euros (limited financial assistance available - contact course organisers for more details).

Group classes will be open to observers at a cost of €8/day or €35/week. There is also the possibility to observe a special technique class (given by Pamela Devenport) for an additional €5. 

Registration for observers will open from 28th June and will close on Friday 24th July.
