Cottle
Individual Lessons
Jon is a cellist and teacher living in Barcelona, Spain. He divides his time between a variety of musical projects and teaching Suzuki Cello, the method in which he first learnt the instrument.
As a performer he plays regularly with the Orquestra Sinfònica de Barcelona, various improvisng groups including Baktun Ensemble and Como Collective. In London he was a member of the Heritage Orchestra, as well as forming part of the touring band for New York group Clare and the Reasons and Songwriter Van Dyke Parks.
Jon is a level 4 trained Suzuki teacher, and is currently working towards his level 5 with Eulália Subirá, Carey Hockett, Ruben Rivera and Arantza López. He teaches in El Musical in Bellaterra, Barcelona and is regularly invited to teach on various courses including Bryanston Internationl Suzuki Summer School, Barcelona Fiddle Congress and Avinyó Summer Jazz Workshop.
